Fresh handmade Japanese Udon noodles. Hot udon in hot broth, cold udon with hot broth, cold udon with cold sauce, you get the picture, anyway you wanted it, they had it. To start we had braised pork belly with cider and marinated mushrooms, both had flavours which were just stunning, they hit certain tastebuds that I didn’t even know existed! For mains we had Buta Miso (pork and miso) - hot udon with hot broth and Tenzura (prawn and vegetable tempura) - cold noodles with a dipping sauce. It was like being in Japan, (not that I’ve been) it seemed so authentic, that until I get the chance to go to Japan, this will be my go-to place for udon…
ps amazing fact - the noodles are actually footmade ie they knead and roll the noodles with their feet! the traditional way, cool huh?
